2019 SPOTLIGHT EVENTS!
For the third year Cotton & Reed (DC's First Rum Distillery) and Port City Brewing Company have teamed up to bring a Super Fun Party Time to the DC Beer Community for DC Beer Week. The team at Cotton & Reed will be crafting up some delicious rum cocktails made with Port City beers. You can sip on the beer-cocktails, grab a pint of beer and enjoy some free games! There will be games setup throughout the distillery with a special guest referee so be sure to bring your friendly competitive spirit!
Featuring 22 ciders on draft. 10 lagers featuring local and imported offerings as well as an extensive lambic bottle list including Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Oud Beersel, and American spontaneous beers from Oxbow & The Referend Bier Blendery. The highlight of the event will be the Txotx which is the Basque tradition of shooting naturally fermented cider out of a barrel for guests to catch in their glass. We will be doing this periodically throughout the day along with a one time Lambic Txotc where we will shoot Oud Beersel Oude Lambiek out of the barrel in the same fashion.
Don't miss out on brews, food, music and more! Buffalo & Bergen and Suburbia are proud to announce the 5th Annual Brewers on the Block Saturday, August 25th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The event at Union Market's Suburbia will bring together 37 of the region's top breweries, cideries and meaderies along with friends of the block from across the country.
City Brew Tours DC has partenered with Sloppy Mama's, bringing you through some of DC's best breweries during Beer Week, while providing you a guided tour of each brewhouse, with a VIP food pairing at each stop!
Our beer experts will pick you up at 801 F Street, NW, we take care of all the driving! You drink, we drive! They will take you to 3 locations, ellaborating on all things beer! When we get to our stops, prepare to take a dive behind the scenes, learning how beer is made at each spot, a little DC beer history, followed with a Sloppy Mamma's Barbeque pairing at each brewery.
Ticket price is all inclusive of guide, transport, flights, food. Bring along some extra cash and your growlers, we'll have a cooler to keep things cold, but sorry, there's no drinking on the bus!

Join Bluejacket on Friday, August 23rd as we renew our vows to Kelsey & Greg’s Wedding Ale. On this night, we’ll pour something old (vintage beers), release something new (cans), serve something borrowed (Red Apron) and toast something Blue(jacket)!
We kick things off with 3 *NEW* cans, plus limited edition glassware. The list of cans includes Kelsey and Greg’s Wedding Ale 2018, a Sour Blond Ale with peaches; and Caribou, a peanut butter cup-infused Sweet Stout.
Next up, we’re bringing back 5 *OLD* favorites from our vintage cellar, including kegs of Blue Monday 2015, Travlr’s 12K 2014, Fields of Friendly Strife: Apricots 2015 and more.
Not to be outdone, we're *BORROWING* the talents of our friends at Red Apron Butcher, who will host a pop-up on our outdoor patio, featuring Chef Nate Anda’s special menu of sausages and burgers.
Last, but not least, we've hired a live wedding band to play all the classics and keep the party moving all night!
There is no admission fee for this event. Cans and glassware will be available for purchase in the bottle shop. Vintage kegs will be priced individually and in 4 oz. tasting pours.

On Thursday, August 23, in honor of #DCBeerWeek, Sauf Haus DC will give a *free* tasting flight to anyone who posts a bier photo to Instagram, tagging @SaufHausDC and #BeerWeekDC. Must follow @SaufHausDC on Instagram to be eligible. Bartender on duty will verify via Instagram app on your mobile phone. Must be able to show proof of posting at time of redemption. As part of DC Beer Week 2018, Home Brewers from around the DMV will unite to see which participant can best replicate our German Style Pilsner Solidarity Brew.
Face off against the crews of DC Brau & Jameson in an Arcade matchup like no other… Beat the brewer in Bowling, Skee Ball, and Pac Man, to spin the prize wheel for free drinks and prizes all night long… Get the highest score to make it to the Mortal Kombat deathmatch and earn your name on a trophy that will be displayed for all of posterity; plus a pretty sweet belt to take home… Suck at games? That’s OK too… the worst score of the night gets to bring home a sick Toilet Trophy! We’ll have plenty of specialty DC Brau beers on top, including rare and barrel aged varieties, paired with Jameson caskmates, so bring your friends and your game faces and get ready to party!
Brought to you by Boundary Stone Public House, local brewing legends DC Brau, Atlas, 3 Stars, Right Proper and Port City square off in a battle royale of barrel aged beers. A panel of judges as well as the popular vote from the public will decide which brewery wins the coveted dedicated draft line for an entire year!

On Tuesday, August 21st, ChurchKey will once again devote all 55 of its draft and cask lines to beers brewed right here in the District. This marks the fourth we've turned over each and every one of our taps to our DC Craft Brewers.
A true tribute to the collective greatness of DC's brewing scene, we will showcase a wide array of one-offs and rarities--both on cask and on draft 3 Stars, Atlas, Bluejacket, DC Brau, Hellbender, District Chophouse and Right Proper. Atlas flagship beers on happy hour special in our Satellite Tap Room all week with our friends at City Tap Penn Quarter! Come by and have some delicious local beers in celebration of DC Beer Week. Limited release Atlas beers available all week too and keep your eye out for super special beers from Head Brewer Daniel Vilarrubi's private stash going on tap throughout the week.
Join The Sovereign on Monday, August 20th, as we celebrate DC Beer Week 2018 with the fine folks from The Veil Brewing Company. On this night, we’ll pour 10 beers from the Richmond, VA brewery!
The Veil has sent us an incredible list of beers, including a trio of mixed fermentation farmhouse ales from The Veil’s highly vaunted barrel aging program. Headlining the list is the only keg of Brenner Pass: Grand Cru ever served outside of The Veil or Brenner Pass. This farmhouse inspired ale is brewed with French Saison yeast and aged in freshly dumped French oak barrels.
Other notables include Concentric, their collaboration with Oxbow Brewing Company; and Raspberry All That You Are, conditioned in French oak barrels with whole raspberries.
Not to be outdone, we’ll also po Soft Style, a Double IPA hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin; and bluemiata, an IPA featuring Galaxy and Amarillo hops.

Please join the DC Brewers' Guild and City Winery as we Kick off DC Beer Week 2018 with a celebration of the District of Columbia's rich lager brewing history.
Lager Fest is an event by the local brewing community to showcase our region's best lagers for your enjoyment. This event will bring together more than 30 craft breweries for an afternoon of refreshing lager style beers, pilsers, and related summer favorites, including hard-to-find rare brews. The event will also feature live music from some of your favorite local bands.
